There are numerous varieties of solar panels on the market. Here are some of the often employed types and their advantages:

1. Mono PERC Half Cut: To increase the efficiency of the panel, monocrystalline cells used in Mono PERC (Passivated Emitter Rear Cell) Half Cut solar panels are divided into smaller cells. They can produce more power per square metre of space thanks to their higher efficiency rate. Additionally, this kind of panel is more resilient to temperature changes and has a longer lifespan.

2. Polycrystalline: Unlike mono PERC Half Cut cells, polycrystalline solar panels are composed of many silicon cells, which are less effective. However, while being less expensive, they may still generate a substantial quantity of electricity. Polycrystalline panels additionally, have a blue colour, which some individuals could find more appealing.

4. Top Con: The electrical connectors on Top Con solar panels are positioned on the front and back of the cell, enhancing efficiency and power output. Additionally, they are stronger, have a longer lifespan, and have higher temperature tolerance.

5. Bifacial: Bifacial solar panels have a unique design that allows them to capture sunlight from both sides of the panel. This means they can generate more power than traditional solar panels. Bifacial panels are also more durable, with a longer lifespan and better temperature resistance.

Overall, the choice of solar panel type will depend on several factors, including the size of the installation, the budget, and the desired efficiency and durability of the panel.

However, as the industry is progressing, many prominent Indian and Chinese solar panel manufacturers have stopped manufacturing Polycrystalline solar panels. Adani Solar, JA Solar, Longi Solar, Trina Solar, Jinko Solar are some of the players not manufacturing Polycrystalline panels anymore.

Most of the developers or residential clients are also preferring bifacial panels due to higher efficiency and generation. Using trackers and bifacial panels, developers are even able to achieve production of up to 1800 Units per kWp per Year.

Many new companies looking to enter solar panel manufacturing are also planning to enter manufacturing of HJT or Topcon directly.

Overall, Adani Solar panels are considered some of the best in India due to their advanced technology, quality control measures, certifications, local manufacturing, and customer support. We, at Chemi Tech are associated with Adani for 6 years now and offer their products across all geographies in India.
